What is DentaNet?
Southland National has formed DentaNet, an Alabama based dental network development company. DentaNet takes a value-based approach to network development and actively seeks participating dentists who are known to provide quality, conservative dental care. DentaNet is a network of dentists who have met Southland National’s program criteria and who have agreed to render care based on a predefined fee schedule. Dental experience, reputation in the dental community and recommendations by business and community leaders are used to identify those invited to join the network.
Why use DentaNet?
You will save money because DentaNet dentists have agreed to be reimbursed according to a fee schedule which is typically lower than what they normally charge. Additionally, DentaNet dentists will not "balance bill" you for the difference between the negotiated fee schedule and their normal charge. Paying your coinsurance based on a lower negotiated fee plus the assurance of no balance billing can potentially save you a significant amount of money!
More employers are replacing dental indemnity plans with network plans because of the cost-saving features. This approach is an excellent way to introduce employees to the savings and quality management features of a dental network while maintaining the option of freedom of choice.
